Luis Santiago-Rosario, an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Minnesota and Universidad Mayor, studies the ecological roles of microelements across scales, from organisms to ecosystems. His research spans drylands in the U.S., Chile, and Australia, focusing on plant-soil dynamics, parasitic interactions, and the influence of plant chemistry on herbivores. By examining how microelements shape ecological interactions, he contributes to understanding their role in environmental and global change. His work bridges scales and systems to address fundamental ecological and evolutionary questions.
