Dan Bolnick is a Professor at the University of Connecticut, and the President of the American Society of Naturalists. He obtained his BA from Williams College, then served in the US Peace Corps teaching in Tanzania. He obtained his PhD at the University of California, Davis, then was a professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and an Early Career Scientist at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He is a Fellow of the AAAS, and the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering. He has received awards including the O’Donnell Prize in Science from the Texas Academy of Science, the Dobzhansky Prize from the Society for the Study of Evolution, the Mercer Award from the Ecological Society of America, and the Early career and Distinguished Naturalists Awards from the American Society of Naturalists.
