Menopause is a normal part of the female aging process. As the reproductive cycle begins to slow down and prepares to stop it can be a challenging time for many women, filled with uncomfortable symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disruption, mood disorders, irregular periods and other quality of life issues.
Dr. Patricia Snyder, an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician with Stony Brook Medicine, will discuss the menopausal transition process, the role of fluctuating hormones and options for relief from the most challenging symptoms.
This program is sponsored by Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Please contact your local library, or East Hampton Library for a registration link at (631) 324-0222 or visit easthamptonlibrary.org.
